Add your event to the member calendar
You can add your event to our member calendar by selecting the option “Submit an Event” from the main menu.
Fill out the form with as much information as possible. Make sure that the information you put in the "Event Name" field is descriptive and exciting. It's also a good idea to include your business name in this field if possible so viewers can quickly see what business is hosting the event.
You can also include a link to register for the event and ways for interested people to get in touch with you.
Our team will let you know when your event has been approved. We will correct any spelling or grammar issues before approving it. Once your event is approved, it will be live on our member calendar. Feel free to share the link wherever you'd like.
We will share the member calendar periodically on our social media channels, and may even feature some member events in our e-newsletters. If you have any questions about the member calendar or a specific event, please contact our member relations team.
Add a special coupon or discount, and see offers from other members
Another exciting feature of our member portal is the ability to add special discounts for other Chamber members, or anyone in the Nashville area, as well as receiving exclusive discounts from other members.
To begin posting your coupon, discount or special offer, click the “Add A Coupon” button from the main menu at the top of the page.
Then click the “New coupon” button.
On the next page, you can enter the details of your coupon or offer. Make sure that the title of your coupon is compelling and descriptive so people will know what you are offering.
There are plenty of options to choose from when posting a discount. You can set an expiration date, set an email address and phone for people to contact you with questions and even upload a logo or photo for your offer.
One of the most important options is deciding whether to offer your discount only to other Chamber members or to the entire Nashville area community.
Member to member coupons are a great way to encourage other Chamber members to check out your business and support businesses that have made the decision to invest in our region’s future. However, community coupons offer the ability to reach a wider audience for your products and services. The great news: you can add coupons for both audiences and don't have to limit yourself to one or the other.

See a value report that breaks down your visibility to website visitors
One of the benefits of being a Chamber member is visibility to people across the region that look to our website as a resource. Our business directory is used by tens of thousands of users every year to find member businesses. Every time a user sees your business on our site, we track that visibility, so you know the return on your investment in Chamber membership.
To see how many people are finding your business on our website, click the link labeled “Value Report” from the main menu in your member portal.
This will bring up a report that details your visibility from the last 12 months with two separate pages:
Total Referrals Per Month
This report breaks down the number of referrals for your business by month. Referral is just another word for someone seeing your business on our website. Erica’s Touch of Taste joined in June of 2017. Being included on our new member list gave the business an initial visibility boost.
After that, the referrals have stayed consistent at around 400 per month. This means, 400 people per month are seeing Erica’s Touch of Taste on our website.
Referrals By Type
This report breaks down the types of referrals your business is getting. There are 5 main types:
- Directory listing display: The number of times your directory listing was displayed
- Email form access: The number of times a website user accessed a form to send you an email, also known as a business connect request
- Listing detail page display: The number of times someone clicked on your business directory listing to see your listing display page
- Map referral: The number of times a map of your location was displayed
- Website link click: The number of times a user clicked on your website link from your listing display page
At the bottom of the report, you can see your “Total Referrals,” “Total Impressions,” “Total Leads” and “Lead Rate.”
Impressions refer to the number of times your business directory listing was displayed in a user’s search.
Leads refer to the number of times a user clicked on or took an action on your business directory listing like viewing your details page, sending an email, seeing your location map or visiting your website.
Lead rate divides the number of leads by the number of impressions giving you a percentage of people that took an action on your directory listing.

Get more visibility on the Nashville Chamber website
Once you’ve taken a look at your value report, it’s time to evaluate its effectiveness by looking at your lead rate.
How can you tell if your lead rate is “good?” The average conversion rate depends on your industry – a report by Unbounce found that the average conversion rate can range anywhere from 2.8% to 6%. You can download their free report to learn more about conversion rates here.
What can you do if your lead rate is less than average? Improve your directory listing!
The way that people find your business on our directory is by using keyword searches. To check what keywords your business is using, click the “Update Your Contact Information” link in the main menu of the member portal.
Then click “edit my profile” underneath your business name.
On the pop-up box, click “directory listing” on the left-hand menu. This will bring up your directory listing information.
Here, you can edit your business’ description, short description and keywords so people can easily find you using our business directory. Use keywords that you would use when looking for your own products or services in a search engine. For example, we use words like “business organization”, “chamber of commerce”, “business association”, “networking”, “business events”, and even “grow your business”.
Also, make sure your directory listing is full of these keywords too. The more descriptive you are, the better your chance of attracting customers to your directory listing.
Make sure to click save at the bottom of the page! We will review your changes to make sure they are appropriate and get the updates on our website within a few days.
This strategy is called Search Engine Optimization or SEO. Click here to learn more about SEO and how you can use it to improve your visibility for all search engines, not just the Chamber website.
If you have any questions about this, please email Carly Vaughn, our digital content strategist, at cvaughn@nashvillechamber.com.
Download your Nashville Chamber Member decal and logo for your website
Did you know that including your Chamber membership badge on your website can help earn your customers’ trust? It’s called a “trust signal” and it shows that your business is an established part of the business community.
Every Chamber member receives a physical member window decal for their business, but if you want to also include this decal on your website and/or email signature line, and reap the credibility benefits from customers, we can help!
It’s easy to download a logo or decal to include on your website and/or email signature line. Simply click on the link in the main member portal menu labeled “Nashville Chamber Logos/Decal.”
Clicking this link will automatically start a download of our logos and membership decal. You can upload these files directly to your website and email signatures. Most Chamber members include them in the footer of their website or in their email signatures.
If you have questions about downloading the decal and logos, or need a physical window decal for your business, email Denise Hoolhorst with our Member Relations team at dhoolhorst@nashvillechamber.com.
Download or purchase a member mailing list, depending on your membership level
One benefit of membership to the Nashville Chamber that you may not be aware of is access to a member mailing list.
You can download a member mailing list directly from your member portal if your membership investment level is at the Engage ($1500) level or above. To do so, simply log in to the member portal, then click the “Member Mailing List” link. The member mailing list is updated every month to include new members. This list never includes emails.
If you are a member at the Belong ($500) investment level, you can still access a member mailing list for just $50. To do so, simply email Denise Hoolhorst at dhoolhorst@nashvillechamber.com and she’ll email you back an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, she’ll email you the Excel file.
The member mailing list includes information on our members including the business name, address, phone number and the name of the main representative with the business. Furthermore, the businesses can be sorted and searched by industry, so you can reach the businesses that are most relevant to your goods or services.
One piece of information that is not available on the member mailing list is member email addresses. We understand that email addresses are sensitive to abuse by spammers, so we make sure that your email address is protected and unavailable to advertisers – even if those advertisers are Chamber members themselves. However, the mailing list contains actionable information on our more than 2,000 member businesses in an easy-to-edit and searchable document.
Pay your membership invoice to continue receiving benefits
Paying your annual membership investment is hassle-free with our online payment option. We accept all major credit and debit cards, so you don’t have to waste time putting a check in the mail. This online payment option also allows you to pay via e-check.
To pay your membership investment online, log into the member portal and click the link labeled “Pay Your bills” in the top menu.
Here, you will find any open invoices to keep your membership current. You can also download copies of your previous membership invoices for your records.
If you have any questions about your invoice, please contact Denise Hoolhorst with our Member Relations team at dhoolhorst@nashvillechamber.com.
Connect with other Chamber members using our business directory
Another great benefit to our business directory is the ability to send emails directly to other members using our website. When you are logged into your member portal, you can send email messages directly to other members using our platform.
To do so, click business directory (in the blue bar at the very top). Find the business you are looking for by searching by category or keyword. For example, you can find all hotels by clicking “Search by Category” and then scrolling down the dropdown menu to find “Hotels and Lodging”.
On the search results page, find a listing that you would like to contact and click “Learn more”.
On the listing detail page, scroll down to the section that reads “Send a message to:” Your business information will be pre-populated into the form and you can add a personalized message to the business.
Click “Send” and the business will receive your message.
There is much more you can explore in your member portal. If you have any questions about your membership benefits, contact our membership team today!
